Had this not had a mountain of backlash awaiting it, I think it would have landed in the 70 percent range from critics (the PC version anyway).ĭarkstone (58/100) - This was a 3D Diablo clone. Not only did you control two characters instead of one, but the quests were different when you replayed the game. I liked it so much that I believe I actually played it through three times, once at each difficulty level.Ĭarmageddon 3: TDR 2000 (48/100) - With the third installment the developers tried to make it more of a time-based racing game. But once I used the time cheat, the game was a blast. Virtual Bart (Sega Genesis) - For some reason my friend and I loved the tomato toss section. The other mini-games were maddening, and you couldn't select which one you played, but it was worth it to hit kids with a satisfying splat.ĭmetras: I just thought of another game. Yet I like it.Ĭastlevania for the N64, not to be confused with Simon Belmont's NES adventure. It's difficult, it's weird (skeletons on motorcycles! magical nitro! an elevator! a salesman who is a demon! Frankenstien's monster. with a chainsaw!), and it'll make you want to either bang your head, throw your controller, or weep and curse like a sailor as you retry for the umpteenth time from the checkpoint.

Oh, don't spend over 30000 Gold, unless you want to see the salesman's true form and fight it.

Castlevania 64 and its prequel/remake Legacy of Darkness are mediocre even bad games. The controls are terrible, platforming is frustrating, combat was a bad imitation of Zelda OoT, and the story is predictable (Who couldn't tell that the little boy was Dracula?). I completed CV64 with both characters and then once again with the 3 characters in LoD.
